Here are my top three TOMM in no particular order.
- Stupid is as stupid does.
“Surveillance video shows border protection officers encourage teen to sip liquid meth solution that killed him”-NYDAILYNEWS. What kind of bullshit is this? The border protection officers encouragement didn’t lead to his death, his own dumb ass choices did. This kid knew exactly what was in those bottles. He got caught up in a situation where he was trying to pull a fast one on the officers and that shit backfired. If I’m going to carry liquid meth across the border and an agent tells me to drink some to prove it’s not drugs, best believe my monkey ass ain’t drinking that shit. Fuck this dumb ass guy.
2) Hmm..I wonder what the difference between these two are?
The picture on the left is of Charlie Gard who’s family was in the news for the past few months. He had a rare illness called mitochondrial DNA depletion syndrome. This disease weakens the bodies tissues and brain function. This issue here is that the doctors working on Charlie informed his parents that he should be taken off life support. They disagreed and asked to try an experimental drug on him that would reverse the illness. Close to 490,000 people signed a petition asking that he be allowed to travel to the US for treatment. The UK courts said nope and that’s when the US stepped in and gave Charlie citizenship so he could travel to the US without approval from the UK. A Dr from the US came in and tried to convince the UK courts that he could help Charlie. While waiting for an answer, the family gave up and just decided to have Charlie come home and die in hospice. The hospital in all its glory said sorry, his ventilator wont fit through the door. Well, a little to late as Charlie died a week before his birthday.
So 490,000 people came together to try to get this kid to the US. Funny, I didn’t see a petition going around for the kids on the right. I guess my question is, why is it ok to help one but not all? Why don’t these kids get the same news coverage as Charlie? And no, watching Sally Struthers at 2am talk about .35c a day doesn’t count.
3) Transgender ban in the military.
If you’re willing to put your life on the line for our country, more power to you, been there done that. However… I personally agree with the ban. Am I against transgender people? No. I just think that right now there are too many variables that the military would have to deal with. First, going TDY. If i present as a male today and am in an all male dorm/tent, then present as a female tomorrow, do I stay in the all male tent or does the unit officer go through the hassle of doing the paper work to move me to an all female tent/dorm? So now I’m in an all female tent, preop with a dick. There’s 12 females in this tent with you who don’t see you as transgender, they only see you as having a dick.
Second, service members have to be held to the same physical fitness standards of that of a male/female, not of the gender the person identifies with. Again, I’m a transgender female who is 67 inches, weighing 170 lbs, 4 lbs over the max limit. Now I present as a male whose weight limit for my age and height are 176 lbs, putting me under the limit by 6 lbs. How is that fair?
Third, it used to be that you went into the service to get free college, now you go in to get sex reassignment surgery or therapy. The issue here is that the military has to meet a quote on how many male/females join. If you’re a male today, female tomorrow, it kind of fucks numbers up. Also, tax payers aren’t going to be happy that their tax dollars are going to giving or taking away a penis.
Forth, you can not be combat ready if you rely on taking hormone treatments. You can’t be in a war zone for 6 months and skip treatments, it wouldn’t be healthy and may do damage.
What about Kristin Beck? She was a part of Seal Team 6 and is transgender. True, but she also transitioned when she got out of the military , so her argument with Trump and this ban holds no merit.
Today was a chill day. My wife had some kind of homecoming deal at her school (Western Illinois), so i just stayed home and played NHL 15. The only serious decision i had to make was whether I was going to go to Mariachis (local mexican restaurant) for lunch. Well, like a dumbass I settled for Rudy’s Tacos. Rudy’s is to mexican food what Olive Garden is to italian food. It is what it is.
So after forcing myself to eat Rudy’s, which taste a lot better at 3am when you’re drunk, I decided to head over to Starbucks. When i arrived, I was fairly excited to see that only two cars were in the parking lot. I headed in to see only one person at a table reading a newspaper. My thought, sweeeet..full wifi for me. But of course the wifi gods were around the corning laughing at me, because as soon as i sat down, about 7 people came in with there fkn laptops or tablets. The only thing I could do was try to open a page and watch the little hourglass spin around..and around..and around.
You know what really just irritates me? When it is freaking cold outside and people come out bundled up, while their kids are in shorts or sandals with no jacket. You ignorant shits, make sure your kids are clothed and warm before yourself.
The school that I work at is a therapeutic school, with kids that are autistic and or have behavioral issues. The ages range from 6 to 16. When we first opened, I joked about playing Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio as I walk down the hallways. Anyways, these kids are a product of their environment. I use that term lightly, because you can always change your way of thinking. These kids have not only their family name against them, but also the system. When you are 14 years old, you shouldn’t be tasked with having to raise your two little brothers and be expected to put food on the table. This kids mother broke his jaw which he had to have wired shut, along with taking his SSI money and using it for drugs. He is a sophomore that reads at a 3rd grade level, and his math skills are the same. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated problem with just one kid. This is happening to children across the United States. I want to have some hope and think he will be able to overcome and be successful, but I think he might be too far in the system. Again, I don’t blame these kids, I blame our government. Look at what the Department of Defense spent in FY2014, $501.73 billion..now look where else that could have went and we still could have had 355 billion left over.
On a totally different subject, I wish Slipknot would go back to their IOWA days and bring back the metal that earned them fans..or maggots I should say. Alright folks, I’m out.
Ps…. Spoiler Alert, Paul Walker dies in the 7th film.
Sitting here at Starbucks, drinking my grande caramel frappuccino, I noticed that I have the only one on a laptop that does not have an Apple on it.
Let’s talk ISIS for a moment. ISIS or ISIL, which stands for Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, is one bad ass terrorist group. Those in the White House have stated that they underestimated the threat from ISIS. I don’t know about you, but when someone beheads another person, records it and post it online, I’d say that’s a pretty big fkn threat. Now i understand how most would like to blame Obama for letting this get out of hand, and yes I too blame Obama but I also blame Bush. If he wasn’t so hard up on getting rid of Saddam, this shit wouldn’t be happening. Saddam had his people on lock, they were too afraid to goof around. Of course Saddam could have already been dead by this time but his sons would have taken over and they were worse than he was. Back to ISIS…a part of me wonders if this is just a false flag by our government. What better way to control the country and scare the people than to say ISIS is already in the United States, which they have (el paso).
Unfortunately Americans are too dumb and lazy to hold protests for things that matter. No, we would rather bitch and moan when a cop shoots someone who feels threatened or complain when a food chain changes the recipe. Imagine if we were to come together and protest on things like education, minimum wage, or government accountability…the government would lose its fkn mind.
You know what we haven’t had in a while to scare Americans…a deadly disease. Enter, ebola. Ironic that we have never had a case here in the US, then after we allow two affected people to come back in to get treated and now just today the CDC confirms a case in Texas.
I have more to say, but i have a graduation to attend.
