2/16/16 Two things on my mind

1) Day without an Immigrant

Today, there was a scheduled protest called ‘Day without an Immigrant’. Supposedly hundreds of thousands of immigrants called in or no showed at their jobs to help bring awareness to how much they do for our country.

I believe that a majority of American’s will say without a doubt that immigrants play a huge part in our society.  Immigrants are who helped build this country and are the foundation to what this country is today.

I also believe though that American’s are tired of immigrants coming here illegally. We are a land of laws or so one would be led to believe. But when you come into a country illegally and only get a slap on the wrist and are allowed to stay on the tax payer dime, it’s a slap in the face to those of us who follow the laws.

To say that you are going to call into work or no show for your job just so you can participate in this protest is asinine. Honestly, if i was your supervisor and you told me you weren’t coming in so you could protest this crap, i’d do everything in my power to make sure you wouldn’t have to come in the next day either because you’d be fired.

The question that I’ve heard today is how can I be against immigrants when I am Mexican American?  Why should I be profiled against because certain people can’t follow the law and come here legally? Remember, one bad apple ruins the bunch.  I also find it funny and sad at the same time that these same people associate only my Mexican ethnicity with immigrants, when actually i’m also German and Irish… two of the greatest immigrant groups to come to the US.  Immigrants are not only those who cross our southern boarder.

So am I against  immigrants coming over here?  No, just as long as they go through the proper channels.

2) Facebook

Facebook has gone to shit.  Remember back in the beginning of Facebook when it was all about playing games with friends and connecting with family across the nation?  Now it’s nothing but political lies, people killing themselves or hurting others on Facebook Live, adding a “friend” just so you can unfollow them and not talk to them anyways. Of course those stupid “one like = one prayer” bullshit that people somehow fall for.

Facebook has turned people into zombies.  Like literally, they can’t think for themselves. Often i hear “oh i read it on Facebook” as if Facebook was a legitimate news source. In the fourth quarter of 2016, Facebook had 1.86 billion monthly active users. Wow, 1.86 billion zombies.

I guess you can say that I’m being a hypocrite since I use Facebook. Hell, I agree with you. But i think that it seriously time that I logoff. I have done it for a day or two and always came back but I think i need to enjoy life more and not worry what John Doe is posting.

Paris 11/13/15

First let me state that my opinions on here are strictly mine. If you agree or feel a different way, that fine, not going to lose sleep over it.

So yesterday on Friday the 13th of all days, Paris was struck with a terrorist attack.  My heart goes out to the families who lost loved ones.  The events that occurred are as follows:

Details emerged Saturday of seven successive attacks in Paris – the first of which hit Stade de France at 9:20pm. Two more bombs went off within half an hour, while gunmen started killing spree in eastern Paris nightlife area. Five separate shootings struck bars and restaurants just minutes apart, leaving at least 50 people dead. By 9:49, four gunmen had stormed the Bataclan theatre, where they murdered at least 80 hostages.  Stand-off at the music venue continued until past midnight, when police stormed the building (dailymail.co.uk)

Around the world, people are coming together to support Paris.  We see #prayforparis along with other numerous twitter handles.  Facebook profile pictures are covered with French flags. Political leaders calling for action against ISIS.  Basically, we’re seeing the typical reaction we’ve seen from other attacks. There is one group that has posted about Paris that just irritates the fuck out of me.  That would be the Campus Activist who are whining because the spotlight is off of them.  Especially the fucktards at University of Missouri. I will not repost any of these idiots twitter postings since that will be giving them a platform to spill their idiocy.  But in a nutshell they are saying that the “racism” shown by a Dean is the same as a terrorist attack.  I’m all for free speech, even when it makes completely no sense.  But this shit here takes the cake.

The problem that I have with these young adults is that they are part of the entitlement generation. They were brought up to think they can do no wrong and that the world is out to get them. They have never known the sting of a hand across their ass for doing wrong.  They only believe in free speech when it pertains to something that they agree with.  They feel as though their feelings should never be hurt, and if it is, you are in the wrong. They denounce the military and law enforcement, but expect them to step up when it comes to their safety.  That idea of giving those kids an award just for showing up, hows that working for you now?  A majority of our kids are being taught that the white man is evil, and that the white man of today needs to pay for the mistakes of the past. I for one don’t think Columbus should be celebrated, but i’m not going to blame my white neighbor now for the death of millions of native americans.

This leads me back to these fucktards and this attack.  These young adults are the children of Sept. 11, 2001. I imagine that most were too young to remember the effects of our own terrorist attacks. What they fail to see is the bigger picture.  Last week, a Russian Airliner was brought down by ISIS.  Yesterday, the attacks on Paris.  I think it’s safe to say that we (America) could be next.  I’m not saying it will happen today or tomorrow or next week.  I’m saying that ISIS has made numerous threats and they’ve followed through on them.  So to the entitlement generation who are bitching about a racist dean or those that want $15 to flip a burger, forgive me for not giving two fuck about your cause.  I’m more worried about someone coming in and blowing up your school, a mall, or a concert arena.  For those that say it will never happen, I do remember two tall towers that once stood in New York.

I’ve seen quite a few on social media putting the blame and the creation of ISIS on Obama.  I mean come on Mr. President, on the morning of the Paris attack, you say “What is true, from the start our goal has been first to contain and we have contained them. They have not gained ground in Iraq and in Syria. They’ll come in. They’ll leave. But you don’t see this systemic march by ISIL across the terrain. What we have not yet been able to do is to completely decapitate their command and control structures. We’ve made some progress in trying to reduce the flow of foreign fighters.”, it makes it hard to vouch for you. Let me break down this quote.  First off “They’ll come in. They’ll leave”.  True, they’ll come in with bombs, and leave in pieces. Second, “you don’t see this systemic march”.  Unless of course you’re talking about the march (hypothetically speaking) from Syria to Paris. And third, “We’ve made some progress in trying to reduce the flow of foreign fighters.” Again, the refugees are not helping.  I sure bet he could take back that speech.  What Obama should have done is arm the Syria rebels before ISIS had the chance to grow.

With that being said, I not only blame Obama for withdrawing troops when we should have just set up shop, but I put a majority of the blame on Bush.  You can not try to bring democracy to a country that for years has been led by a dictator.  Saddam had the Sunnis and Shiites on lock.  Once we got into Iraq and removed Saddam, it became a free for all scenario and today is slap in the face to our American and allied troops who gave their lives for nothing.

What’s next? I think that is the million dollar question.  Personally, I’d like to see the United States put the political correctness bullshit on the back burner.  We are supposed to take in about 10,000 refugees. Lets ask Paris how that went.  So no refugees.  Work with Putin.  The guy is crazy, but the guy also doesn’t mess around.  We need to attack ISIS from all sides and in order to do that, we need to put our differences to the side.

In closing.  This is a war that has to be won against ISIS.  This is not a war against Islam.  Saying that the two go hand in hand, yet you make no connection to Waco or Oklahoma and Christianity is pure selfishness.  Our nation needs to come together now in the wake of Paris or we’ll just have to wait for another 9/11.

12/4/2014

So today the Terminator trailer came out and the only thing I can say…amazing.  Finally, a terminator movie that deals with not only the machines but also time travel.  I know that the first one leaned towards time travel, but it was never really part of the movie throughout.  Just thinking about it I had to rewatch it. lol

I have an interview in a few weeks at a healthcare facility.  I enjoy the job I have now, but money is money and this other job pays close to what I was making at CADS, plus it’s salary.  Of course I won’t count my chickens before they hatch, but I keep thinking about my students and how they will react. I have an awesome rapport with 99% of them and most of them know they can come to me for anything.  I guess that’s where my issue is.  Would I be just another person who has come into their lives, just to leave?

Let’s talk about minimum wage shall we?  I understand that it is hard to live off of $8.25 which is what it is here in Illinois.  I do understand however, that those $8.25 jobs are not meant as career jobs.  Of course you will have those that will say you should go to college and get a degree, then you’ll get paid more.  That’s true, but there are some who legit do not have the means to go to school.  I’ll use myself as an example.  After I am done with my masters degree, I’ll have to pay back around $150,000 which is about $800 a month.  I’m well off, have no kids, and my wife works, but I have no clue how the hell I’m going to pay that back.  Now imagine being a single mother or father, with no way of getting student loans because if they did they would have their other assistance cut off.  It’s a bullshit cycle. “College tuition and fees have increased 1,120 percent since records began in 1978. “(Bloomberg,2012) Personally, I think college should be free.  Why would you want to dumb down the young people of your nation? Anyways, back to the minimum wage, if you think you should get $15 for flipping my burger, you can eat a bowl of dicks.  Get two $8 jobs if you want to make more money.

Immigration reform.  It’s funny when people bring up immigration when I’m around.  Guess it’s cause i’m mexican and they think i’m all for it or it’s a sensitive subject.  I’m all for helping people out. I’m all for people coming here for a better life. But when you come here illegally to obtain the American Dream, then you’re fkn up my chance for the American Dream.  Using our resources for those that come here illegally is bullshit.  How the hell can someone come into this country illegally and get financed for a car, yet I can’t due to my credit.  I mean shit, I’ll go to mexico and sneak back in this bitch if that’s what it takes. It’s not just Mexicans, but we are the ones people think of.   I do think its funny though when people talk about rounding up all the illegals and sending them back.  I laugh cause that’s fkn impossible.  I also laugh when people say they are taking good paying jobs..um no.  I don’t know too many whites or blacks that will pick fruit from the fields, watch your kids, cut your grass, or clean your home for less than minimum wage.

“Goodbye” by Slipknot is a beautiful song.

This guy here at Starbucks sitting across the room from me is watching Twilight.  Who the hell goes to Starbucks to watch Twilight?

Christmas is right around the corner and let me tell ya, I fkn hate christmas music…with a fkn passion.  Like, my ears begin to bleed when this shit comes on the radio.  I’m not a fan of christmas anyways, but my wife loves it so I tend to put on a smile.  But every time christmas music come on, I want to shoot that fkn radio.

Whitney Houston has been sober for close to 3 years now….good for her.

9/30/2014

Sitting here at Starbucks, drinking my grande caramel frappuccino, I noticed that I have the only one on a laptop that does not have an Apple on it.

Let’s talk ISIS for a moment.  ISIS or ISIL, which stands for Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, is one bad ass terrorist group.  Those in the White House have stated that they underestimated the threat from ISIS.  I don’t know about you, but when someone beheads another person, records it and post it online, I’d say that’s a pretty big fkn threat.  Now i understand how most would like to blame Obama for letting this get out of hand, and yes I too blame Obama but I also blame Bush.  If he wasn’t so hard up on getting rid of Saddam, this shit wouldn’t be happening.  Saddam had his people on lock, they were too afraid to goof around.  Of course Saddam could have already been dead by this time but his sons would have taken over and they were worse than he was.  Back to ISIS…a part of me wonders if this is just a false flag by our government. What better way to control the country and scare the people than to say ISIS is already in the United States, which they have (el paso).

Unfortunately Americans are too dumb and lazy to hold protests for things that matter.  No, we would rather bitch and moan when a cop shoots someone who feels threatened or complain when a food chain changes the recipe.  Imagine if we were to come together and protest  on things like education, minimum wage, or government accountability…the government would lose its fkn mind.

You know what we haven’t had in a while to scare Americans…a deadly disease.  Enter, ebola.  Ironic that we have never had a case here in the US, then after we allow two affected people to come back in to get treated and now just today the CDC confirms a case in Texas.

I have more to say, but i have a graduation to attend.
